What Is Kisspeptin‑10?
Kisspeptin‑10 is a synthetic decapeptide derived from the endogenous Kisspeptin family, originally identified as metastin from the KISS1 gene. It is a potent activator of the G‑protein‑coupled receptor GPR54 (also known as KISS1R), which plays a central role in reproductive hormone regulation. Kisspeptin‑10 has been studied extensively in neuroendocrinology for its ability to modulate gonadotropin‑releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion, thereby influencing fertility, puberty, and reproductive health.
Mechanism of Action
